Mitzie Allen Chumley, 68, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, August 6, 2023, at her home. A native of Duncan, SC, she was a daughter of the late Huey J. and Leta Crowe Allen.
She was a member of the former Saxon Baptist Church and was a retired customer service representative in the chemical division of Milliken and Company.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Leonard (Bill) Benjamin Chumley, Jr.; her daughter, Katie Raisch; her son, Bruce Chumley (Lauren); a stepson, Ben Chumley; a stepdaughter, Kasey Chumley; four grandchildren, Kayla, Destiny, Connor and Emma; one great-grandchild, Lilith; her sister, Connie Edens; and her special four legged child, “Harlee”.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 pm Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm, in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Monty King. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gibbs Cancer Center, 380 Serpentine Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
