Charlotte Elaine Fortner Jolly, 66, of Spartanburg, died Saturday, September 16, 2023, at her home. A native of Spartanburg, she is the daughter of Emily Jean Cudd Pritchard and the late Woodrow Wilson Fortner.
She retired from Jocassee Designs after 30 years of service and was a member of North Spartanburg Church of God where she taught Sunday School, a member of the church choir and loved reading her Bible.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Johnny R. Jolly; son, Lee Bailey (Stephanie) of Simpsonville; stepdaughter, Tara Elder (Matt) of Roebuck; stepson, J.R. Jolly (Theresa) of Cowpens; seven grandchildren, Abigail Bailey, Maggie Bailey, Taylor Smith, Erica Jolly, Tyler Elder, Hunter Jolly and Carter Jolly; sister, Renee Burger (Dean) of Fairforest; brother, Rick Fortner of Spartanburg; and her loving Shih Tzu fur baby, “Zoie”.
She was predeceased by her stepfather, Lyvone Pritchard; her niece, Emily Fortner; and her fur baby, “Pandzie”.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 pm Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, September 22, 2023, at North Spartanburg Church of God, 2069 Chesnee Highway, Spartanburg, SC 29303, conducted by the Rev. Brandon Ard and Rev. Kevin Hand. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum.
