Ola Adams

January 18, 1929 — July 23, 2021

Ola Pruitt Adams, 92, of Spartanburg, died Friday, July 23, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center.  She was born in Union, SC on January 18, 1929, a daughter of the late William Fletcher Pruitt and Lydia Victoria O’Shields Pruitt. Ola was married to the late Roger C. Adams.

Mrs. Adams loved her church, Croft Baptist Church, where she was the oldest and longest serving member.  She loved her family and enjoyed traveling, playing racquetball, gardening and cooking for others.  She was especially known for her made from scratch banana pudding!

Surviving are her daughter, Carol Parker (Tommy) and her son, Ric Adams of Spartanburg; her grandchildren, Zac Parker (Kati) of Spartanburg, and Brian Parker (Laura) and their daughter, Claire of Roswell, GA; and her brother, Jimmy Pruitt of Union.

The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Croft Baptist Church, 4190 E. Croft Circle, Spartanburg, SC 29302.  A memorial service will follow at 2:15 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Michael Bradley and the Rev. Bill Adams.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org.
