Monica Huminski

Monica Mary Rudzki Huminski, 96, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, October 17, 2020, at Eden Terrace of Spartanburg. Born August 14, 1924 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Mary Sylvia Walkowski Rudzki and John Edward Rudzki, Sr., and wife of the late Ted Francis Huminski. Mrs. Huminski was a Ward Clerk at North Hills Passavant Hospital, in Pittsburgh, PA for 12 years. She was a member of First Baptist Spartanburg, where she was in the Lydia Sunday School Class, Yesterday's Teens, and WMU. Mrs. Huminski volunteered at Mary Black Memorial Hospital in OR reception, was an avid stamp collector and President of the Spartanburg Stamp Club, loved bowling, ballroom dancing, line dancing, square dancing, roller skating dancing and was a master gardener. Survivors include her daughter, Nora Lynn Liberatore (Henry) of Raleigh, NC; sons, Ted F. Huminski (Leanne) of Greer, SC; Eric John Huminski (Mimi) of Atlanta, GA; and Mark Alan Huminski (Karen) of Greer, SC; grandchildren, Lisa Arthur, Anthony Liberatore, Ryan Huminski, Kristen Durham, Evona Vance, Eric Peter Huminski, Daniel Huminski, and Claire Culp; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Rose Marie Doughty of Florida; Marlaine Cummings (Dennis) of Pittsburgh, PA, and brother, John Edward Rudzki (Anita) of McLean, VA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Helen Novak. Visitation will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307, with services following at 2:30 PM in the Chapel, conducted by The Rev. Sal Barone. Catholic burial and service will be at a later date in Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA. We ask that friends and family wear masks and keep social distancing per the Covid-19 precautions.
