Mildred Ruff

Mildred Owens Ruff, 95, of Spartanburg, SC, went to be with her Lord on Friday afternoon, June 11, 2021.  She was born in New Prospect, SC on June 16, 1925, a daughter to the late W.A. and Hester Collins Owens.

Mildred was a member of Golightly United Methodist Church, the Piedmont Court of the Amaranth #14, the White Shrine and the Eastern Star.

She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, John W. Ruff, Sr. Surviving are two daughters, Hester R. Sloan (Gary) and Patricia R. Mason (Steve); a son, John Wesley Ruff, Jr. (Donna); two great-granddaughters reared in the home, Heather and Anita Blalock; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Claude Owens (Irene).  Mildred was also predeceased by her sisters, Viola Lee, Bertha Cody and Catherine Cody; and brothers, Whitt, Frank, John, and Lee Wade Owens.

Private family graveside service will be held for the immediate family, conducted by the Rev. Marv Crowe.  A Celebration of Mildred’s Life will be held at a later date.
