Melissa Anne Gray, age 36, passed away on September 29, 2021 while giving birth to her daughter, Grace Margaret. She was born on October 13, 1984 in Beacon, New York to Christopher and Kathleen Anne Wiemann.

Melissa was the first in her family to receive a college degree and bravely relocated to South Carolina to begin her career in education, serving children with special needs. She was a woman of faith who loved Jesus and family, connecting them across state lines. She was gentle, kind, and loving. Everyone remembers her infectious laugh which brought smiles to so many.

Melissa is survived by her husband, George Naff Gray III, 21-month old son, George Naff Gray IV, newborn daughter, Grace Margaret Gray, father and mother, Christopher and Kathleen Anne Wiemann, and her brother and wife, Matthew James and Jamie Ellise Wiemann, and her father and mother-in-law, The Rev. Dr. George N. Gray, Jr. and Elizabeth Ann Gray.

A visitation will be 5:00 – 7:30 PM Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Memorial service will follow at 7:30 PM at the chapel.
