Kathy Sigmon

Kathy Price Sigmon, 71, of Spartanburg, SC died Friday, June 4, 2021, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born in Forest City, NC she was the daughter of the late Charles Bill Price and Dorothy Jones Price.

Mrs. Sigmon received her Master’s Degree in education from Appalachian State University and was a respected teacher in the public school system for many years. She loved her husband, daughter, grandchildren and friends, liked to cook, traveling to California, Alaska, Colorado, and cruises on the west coast. A member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, she loved her church, volunteering for over 40 years and prayer groups.

Survivors include her husband, Kemp Ikerd Sigmon of the home; daughter, Brooke Simeone (Mark); grandsons, Camden, Pike, Yates, and Rhodes all of Newtown Square, PA; sisters, Connie Price Blanton (Don) of Flat Rock, NC and Billie Price Morehead (Dane) of Ellenboro, NC; brother, Charles Keith Price of Forest City, NC and cousin, Susan Jones.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, June 11, 2021 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1320 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. John L. Warren Jr. Visitation will follow the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1320 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307 or Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
