Joyce Crain

Mary Joyce Grizzle Crain, 74, of Glendale, died Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Spartanburg Medical Center-Mary Black Campus.  She was born December 18, 1946 in Spartanburg, a daughter to the late Luther and Eva Mae Wright Grizzle.  She was the loving wife of the late Ronnie Eugene Crain.

Joyce loved attending her church, St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Clifton, SC for the past 7 years.  She enjoyed camping with her late husband, was known for feeding the squirrels and doting over her grandbabies.  And, Joyce loved her Atlanta Braves!

Surviving are her daughter, Lisa Brockington (Jonathan); her grandchildren, Thomas Taylor (Alex), Ethan Brannon (Vanessa) and Kaitlyn Gilliland; her great-grandchildren, Justice Taylor, Kayden Brannon, and Ava Brannon; her brother, Claude Grizzle; and a sister, Mae Gosnell.  Joyce was also predeceased by her siblings, Buddy, Bill, Steve and E. L. Grizzle, and Frances Lowe.

The family will receive friends from 2-2:45 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at the graveside at Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.  A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Wayne Major.
