Elizabeth Williams

Elizabeth “Bessie” Smith Williams, 86, of Spartanburg, SC died Monday, May 3, 2021 at her home. Born November 9, 1934, in LaGrange, GA she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Annie Lee Thompson Smith, and widow of Erwin L. Williams. Mrs. Williams was a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Williams of Laurens, SC, and grandchildren, Brandon Thomas Williams, Kelsey Wheatley and Kole Williams all of Spartanburg, SC. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Donald Erwin Williams.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Floyd’s North Church Street Chapel, 235 N. Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306, conducted by The Rev. Robert L. Brown. Visitation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
