Elizabeth Sessoms

Elizabeth “Lib” Glymph Sessoms died on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at her home with her family and loved ones gathered around her. Born February 17, 1940 in Newberry, SC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas B. “TB” and Hattie Lee Fowler Glymph and was the wife of the late W. Ross Sessoms.

Libby was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. She loved the Lord, her family, friends, and her neighbors.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer “Jenni” Calvert (Trevis); stepdaughters, Robbie Munday of Florida, Beth Riddle (Wayne) of Prosperity, SC and Missy Hamm (Jody) of Newberry; two grandchildren, Gage Wilson (Abby) and Jessica Mize; nine step grandchildren; three great grandchildren, and two step great grandchildren; and her first cousins, Raymond Smith of Pomaria, SC, Grace Beaver of Chapin, SC and Dolly Hallman of West Columbia, SC. She was predeceased by her daughters, Garland Mize and Angela “Angie” Kannan.

A Graveside service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, October 1, 2022 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Steven Owensby and The Rev. Heyward Calvert. The family will be receiving friends following the service at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Morningside Baptist Church, 897 S. Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
