He co-designed the Compac Yacht and went on to form Buck Thomas, Inc. where he sold Compacs for Hutchins Company until he retired and moved back to SC.

To honor his service and the love Buck and Libby had for Independence Day, the family welcomes you to show your pride in America in casual and comfortable patriotic attire and bring your favorite memory of their life together to a graveside service on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
