Dennis Fischer

Dennis Gale Fischer, 73, passed away peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior in Heaven on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Born January 11, 1948 in Port Angeles, Washington, he was a son of the late Larry and Doris Pederson Fischer.

Dennis was the founder and President of Fischer Engineering Company and enjoyed a successful career developing and building motor racing engines for many forms of motorsports beginning in 1972 in Southern California. He and several team members moved to North Carolina in 1997, continuing Fischer Engineering’s success until he retired in 2007. He moved to South Carolina to be closer to family a few years later.

Although his career brought him much fulfillment, his greatest joy was found in his faith in Jesus Christ. He was blessed to have been a longtime member and deacon at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA, a member of the board of The Master’s University and Seminary in Santa Clarita, CA and a current member of the board of Stewardship Services Foundation in Santa Clarita, CA. He continued to remain involved in his local church while living in North and South Carolina with his most recent passion being helping his son with his ministry in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Second to his passion for Christ was his love for his family. He was a beloved husband, father and grandpa. Dennis is survived by his wife, Mary Stiltz Fischer, of nearly 49 years, his daughter, Kimberly Ward and son-in-law, Michael Ward, his son, Ryan Fischer and daughter-in-law, Stacey Fischer and grandchildren, Autumn, Olivia, Grace and Knox.

A Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 10, 2021 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by Pastor Dan Burrell.
