Daisy Johnston

Daisy Nobles Johnston, 82, of Spartanburg, passed away on Sunday morning, November 21, 2021, at her residence.  She was born on May 22, 1939 in Whiteville, NC and grew up in Wilmington, NC.  Daisy was the daughter of the late Colon Worth Nobles and Ruby Nance Nobles.

Daisy attended the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Advent and Women Giving for Spartanburg Foundation. She enjoyed dancing, music, traveling and being a loving grandmother.

Surviving are her husband, Robert Glenn “Bob” Johnston, Jr.; her son, Robert Glenn “Rob” Johnston, III and his wife Loni Braun Johnston of Spartanburg; three grandchildren, Lindsay Rebecca Johnston, Raegan Alexander Johnston and Connolly Elizabeth Johnston; and her sister, Shirley N. Grainger of Wilmington, NC.  Daisy was predeceased by her brother, John Colon Nobles and four sisters, Lila Watson, Aline Hagain, Lois Tedder and Betty Kermon.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 3:00 PM Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.  A private service for the family will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, conducted by the Rev. Robert L. Brown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in loving memory of Daisy Johnston to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, P O Box 2624, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
