Cynthia Hood

Cynthia Carole Hood, 60, of Spartanburg, SC died Monday, October 11, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center-Mary Black Campus. Born March 27, 1961 in Huntsville, AL, she was the daughter of William Lee and Peggy Jean Manning Smith and the wife of Carol Hood.

Cynthia loved spending most of her time with her grandson, and her family was so important to her. She enjoyed knitting and crochet. She will be remembered for being such a strong person.

Survivors also include her sons, Zachary Hood and Justin Hood of Spartanburg, grandson, Declan Hood of Spartanburg, brother, Rusty Lee Smith (Denise) of Spartanburg, and sisters, Deborah Bailey (Charles) of Inman, and Dena Lee (Russ) of Spartanburg, her stepchildren, Christian Hood and Kelly Guyton, along with her nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Croft Baptist Church, 4190 East Croft Circle, Spartanburg, SC 29302. A Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM at the church.
