Curtis Ward

Curtis G. Ward, 86, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away Monday, January 10, 2022, in Spartanburg, SC. He was born June 2, 1935 in Georgia, and the son of the late J. B. and Virgie Davis Ward and was the husband of Martha “Gin” Ward of 67 years.

Mr. Ward was a master carpenter and a life-long member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife, Martha Ward, his daughter, Jennifer Moore (Alan) of Chesnee, SC, his son, Rex Ward of Campobello, SC, his grandchildren, Brittany Holly (Nate), Chad Ward, Josh Ward, and Stephen Moore, his great grandchildren, Austin Ward and Leland Holly, and his brother-in-law, Delano Tinsley. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Dottie Tinsley.

Visitation will be 12:00-12:45 PM Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Fariview Baptist Church, 1551 Bryant Road, Spartanburg, SC, 29303. Funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM at the church, conducted by The Rev. Gary Pruitt and The Rev. Jack Owens.  Interment will follow in Fairview Baptist Church cemetery.
