Anslie Jean Waters, 72, of Spartanburg, SC died Wednesday, June 8, 2022. Born December 28, 1949, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Paran and Dorothy Jean Ashley Waters.
Anslie was a lifelong member of Second Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg, SC where she served as an elder and choir member. She was a graduate of Converse College, where she earned a master’s degree in vocal performance. Anslie went on to teach vocal performance and piano at Presbyterian College and served as an admissions officer at Limestone College. She had three dogs that she loved dearly, a Cocker Spaniel named Slipper and two Schnauzers named Buffy and Judy.
Survivors include her brother, James Richard “Rick” Waters (Deborah) of Lewes, DE; nephew, Jason Richard Waters (Alison) of Leesburg, VA; niece, Ashley Waters Stokes (Patrick) of Hillsborough, NJ; great-nephews, Nathaniel Waters and Andrew Stokes; and great-nieces, Samantha Waters and Anna Stokes.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. Elizabeth Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Second Presbyterian Church, 438 North Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
