Willie Jones

March 6, 1942 — September 11, 2022

Willie Lou Jones, 80, wife of Richard Arlen “Dick” Jones, went to her Heavenly home Sunday, September 11, 2022.  Born March 6, 1942, she was a daughter of the late James and Ione Broome Temples.

Mrs. Jones was a retired weaver for over 40 years at various textile mills.  She was a member of Pacolet First Baptist Church where she once sang in the choir; she was great cook and amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  Her strength was in her quietness, tenderness and selflessness; loved missionary work, cruises to anywhere and her dog, Buddy.

In addition to her husband, survivors include son, Rickey Judy (Sheila) of Greenwood, daughter, Nannette Stewart (Jodi Hooper), of Bradenton, FL, stepdaughter, Cindy Keeling (Jeff), of Inman; five sisters, Gladys, Jan, Linda, Dot and Ruth; two brothers, Robert and Kenneth.  Nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 17, 2022, 9:30AM-10:45AM in the Pacolet First Baptist Church, 310 West Main St, Pacolet, SC, 29372.  Funeral service will follow at 11:00AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Upstate Community Hospice Home, 260 Fair Winds Road, Landrum, SC, 29356.
