William "Bill" Stanley

William “Bill” Paul Stanley, 76, of Spartanburg, SC died Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born March 16, 1946 in Detroit, MI, he was a son of the late Paul Stanley and Mary Combs Starosto, and was the husband of the late Janice “JJ” Jones Stanley.

A US Navy Vietnam War “Seabees” veteran, Mr. Stanley was retired from Anvil Knitwear. He was a member of Church of the Mill and VFW Post 9539.

Survivors include his children, Kevin Matthew Stanley (Tanya) and Monica Stanley Covan (Tony), all of Spartanburg, SC, his grandchildren, Megan Leah Stanley Cabe (Kevin) of Spartanburg, SC, Ryan Matthew Stanley (Kayla) of Pauline, Austin James “AJ” Covan of Spartanburg, SC, and Braeden Anthony Covan of Spartanburg, SC, great grandchildren, Reaghan Cabe, Jaxon Cabe, Easton Stanley and Whitten Cabe, his brother, Frank Michael Starosto of Moore, SC and his sister, Denise Bridges of Spartanburg, SC. He was also predeceased by his stepfather, Frank Starasto.

A Cryptside service will be held at a later date at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Complex
