William Dewey Hopper

William Dewey Hopper, 86, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025. Born in Berryville, AR, he was the son of the late Carl Jasper Hopper and Ruth Kathryn Burgess Hopper. 

 He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1964 and lived a life marked by dedication to family and country.

William is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Judy Hopper; his children Julie Blythe (Gordon), Kelly Scribner (Jon), and John Hopper (Suzanne); grandchildren Amanda Mitchell, Austin Blythe (Alyshia), Kyle Hopper, Emily Blythe, Trevor Scribner (Desirhea), Selik Hopper (Kyra), Meghan Scribner, Logan Hopper, Connor Scribner, Preston Hopper, and Kyler Hopper; and great-grandchildren Dylan Mitchell, Luke Mitchell, and Levi Blythe.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM, Saturday, June 28, 2025, Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC. 29307. Services will be conducted by Frank Nutt.

Burial will be held privately.
