Volney Dean Hawkins

Volney Dean Hawkins 90, of Spartanburg SC died Friday, November 21, 2025, at his home under the care of Spartanburg Regional Hospital Hospice and Dayspring Caregivers.

Born December 14, 1934, in Spartanburg SC, he was the son of the late Frank and Luzon Hawkins and the husband of the late Lois Ann (Johnson) Hawkins married for 66 years.

Volney retired with over 45 years of service with Spartan Mills and was pleased to work as a Spartanburg County courthouse bailiff for several years.

The last of his siblings, he was predeceased by sisters Mildred and Elnora; and brothers Frank junior, J.R., and Barber. He was also preceded by granddaughter Paige Williams.

Survivors include daughter, Vicki Williams (Kirk) of Seneca SC, sons Jeff Hawkins (Vicki Jo) and Brent Hawkins (Michelle) of Spartanburg SC; grandsons Richard Williams, Blake Hawkins and Brooks Hawkins; granddaughter Gracie Hawkins.

Visitation will be 11:00 am -11:45 am Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg SC 29307. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood Glendale Road, Spartanburg SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Keith Taylor.
