Virginia Owens

Virginia Fay McGaha Owens, 89, of Pacolet Mills, SC, died Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at Brookdale Skylyn-Spartanburg. Born December 19, 1926, in Pacolet, SC, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Estelle Kirby McGaha and widow of Windle "Doc" Hazel Owens. Mrs. Owens was a lifelong member of Pacolet Mills Baptist Church where she was active in WMU and the Annette Green Sunday School Class. She was retired from Timken Company-Gaffney and was a member of Pacolet Senior Citizens. Surviving are her sons, Windle "Cotton" Owens and John "Perk" Owens (Mazel), all of Pacolet, SC; brothers, John F. McGaha of Pacolet Mills, SC and Alfred McGaha of Gaffney, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, Ray, Harry, and Bob McGaha. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Pacolet Mills Baptist Church, 385 Stone St., Pacolet Mills, SC 29373. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. Norman L. Band. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
