Virginia Swink Martin, 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Eden Terrace in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Virginia was born in Greer, SC to the late Wade W. Swink, Sr and Virginia Diehl Swink. She was preceded in death by her two loving brothers, Jim Cannon and Wade Swink along with her ex-husband and father of her children, Zerno E. Martin Jr.

Virginia was an adventurous woman who loved hiking and being outdoors having lived in Prescott, AZ., Williamsburg, VA., and Hendersonville, NC. But Spartanburg was always home where she enjoyed helping others recover from their addictions at SADAC. She went back to college later in her life and received her bachelor degree from University of South Carolina Spartanburg.

Virginia was survived by her son, Evin Martin and his wife Kristie. Her daughter, Cathy “Cat” Martin and fiancé Jason. Two grandchildren, Zachary Moore and Joshua Carter.

The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
