Virginia Ruth Champion, 82, of Spartanburg, South Carolina passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her sons. She was the wife of the late Donald Murphy Champion.

Virginia was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina the daughter of the late Jim “Shorty” Johnson and the late Ora Barrett Johnson. She was a retired Quality Control Inspector at Mettler Toledo. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She liked to tend to her flowers, cut her lawn, and watch television. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her two twin sons: Tim Champion Michelle) and Anthony T Champion; also 3 grandchildren.

Virginia’s memories will continue to live in the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
