Virgil Farnsworth, Sr.

Virgil Clayton Farnsworth, Sr., 89, of Inman, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born August 26, 1921, he was the son of the late John Samuel and Dessie Morris Farnsworth and the husband of the late Esther Carnes Farnsworth. He was a truck driver for 23 years and was a member of South Spartanburg Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon and served on the Finance Committee. He leaves behind two sons and a daughter, David Farnsworth and wife Susan of Homeworth, OH, Michael Farnsworth of Inman, and Barbara Austin and husband Karl of Pauline; three grandchildren, Kelly Ehrlinspiel of Wooster, OH, Esther Austin of Virginia Beach, VA, and Karl Austin, Jr. of Inman; a sister, Evelyn Price of Massillon, OH. He was predeceased by a son, Virgil C. Farnsworth, Jr. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2010 in Summerfield, OH, under the direction of Brubach-Watters Funeral Home, with burial in Calais, OH.
