Tommy Gene Lewis, Jr.

Tommy Gene Lewis, Jr., 58, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on July 1, 2024. He was the son of the late Tommy and Kay Lewis.

Tommy attended Dorman High School, and then received his bachelor’s degree in English from the University of SC – Spartanburg. After college, he made several job-related moves, but eventually returned to Spartanburg to be close to family and friends. He was employed by Padagis for many years.

All who knew Tommy recognized his love of history, literature, music, and his friends and family, particularly his dad, whom Tommy missed dearly upon his death.

The eldest of the four siblings, Tommy was also preceded in death by his younger brother, David. He is survived by his two sisters, Debbie Siderio (Chris) of Powhatan, VA, and Jennifer Blake (John) of Lexington Park, MD.

A graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307, on Saturday, July 20 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Episcopal Church of the Advent or the Spartanburg Humane Society.
