Timothy Kerry Easler, 71, of Spartanburg, passed away on Friday morning, September 6, 2024, at Spartanburg Medical Center-Mary Black Campus. Tim was born on June 23, 1953, in Spartanburg, the son of the late Glen Astor Easler and Angeline White Easler, and the devoted father of the late Patrick K. Easler.
Tim was the salutatorian of his graduating class at Boiling Springs High School and was a 1975 graduate of The University of South Carolina. He retired from a career in banking with Chase Manhattan Bank. Tim was a superb golfer, an avid music enthusiast, enjoyed cheering on the South Carolina Gamecocks and dining at the Skillet Restaurant. He grew up worshipping at Cherokee Springs Baptist Church and was a current member at St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his sister, Glenda Easler Dudley of Marietta, GA; his nephew, David M. Dudley (Kelly) of Marietta, GA; his daughter, Kelly Marie Jackson of Spartanburg; his cousin, David and Jenny McAbee of Spartanburg; and his dear friends David and Sharon Hooks of Lyman. Along with his parents and son, Tim was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Michael V. Dudley.
A graveside service to honor Tim’s life will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, on the afternoon of October 11, 2024. Time will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, 4180 SC-9, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
