Thomas Lewis Putman, 90, of Spartanburg, South Carolina passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the Veterans Victory House in Walterboro.
Thomas was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the son of the late Lewis Edgar Putman and the late Mildred Wolfe Putman. He was also preceded in death by four sons: David, Barry, Dale and Mark Putman.
Thomas served his country with honor in the United States Air Force. He was a member of Cannons Campground United Methodist Church and was a retired sales representative in the real estate industry. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. To meet him was to love him and he always had a joke for you. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his many memories are his son: Wayne Putman (Cynthia); a daughter: Wanda Greer; a grandson: Jonathan Putman (Kasia); and two brothers: John Putman (Annette) and Joe Putman. Also, his grand-dogs Snowball and Minnie.
A graveside service to honor the life of Thomas Lewis Putman will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, September 26, 2025, in Sunset Memorial Park, 1995 Cannons Campground Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. The United States Air Force Honor Guards will perform military honors at the service.
Thomas’s memories will live for years to come in the hearts of everyone that loved him.
