Thomas Christopher Owens, Jr., 81, of Drayton, died Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice House. He was born March 14, 1942 in Woodruff, SC to the late Thomas C. Owens and Edna Robertson Owens.

He was a member of Bible Truth Baptist Church and a master mason of Converse Masonic Lodge. He worked in the auto body repair industry all his career having been self-employed and worked for all the local dealerships before working and retiring from BMW. He loved rebuilding and restoring antique automobiles and was a member of the Peach Blossom and Sparkle City Antique Auto Clubs for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Linda Murray Owens, daughter DeDee Owens Quinn, three grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Carly and Cole Quinn; brother Bruce (Brenda) Owens of Inman and three sisters, Barbara (Donald) Hernandez of Melbourne, Fl, Darleen (Mark) Timmerman of Laurens, SC, and Sandy Owens of Gaffney, SC; five nieces, five nephews, twelve great nieces, six great nephews, one great-great niece and three great-great nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a son, Chris, infant son, Michael, infant daughter, Desa, son-in-law, Stephen Quinn and nephew, Donald Hernandez.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm time, on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Bible Truth Baptist Church, 222 Floyd Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303 conducted by Rev. David Biggs. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:30am to 12:30pm.
