Susan Dodge passed away on October 20, 2026 after a five-year struggle with the after-effects of a stroke. She was 84.

Susan is survived by her sisters Donna Dodge Lira of Richmond, Virginia, and Jane Dodge Smith of Greenville, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her brother David Dodge of Columbia, South Carolina, her brother Dan Dodge of Spartanburg, South Carolina, her sister Marcy Dodge Harris of Greenville, South Carolina, and her parents Emma Dodge Harrington and Jack Leslie Dodge.

Susan was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. She worked as a school teacher, and was a Guardian ad Litem volunteer serving as a child advocate in legal proceedings. Susan loved to read and write and was actively involved in activities with siblings, nieces, and nephews.

Final services will be held at a later date and will be managed by the J.F. Floyd Mortuary in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
