Steve Brian Brooks

Steven Brian Brooks, 65, of Boiling Springs, SC, passed away Tuesday at Spartanburg Medical Center.

He was born in Spartanburg, SC on October 27, 1959. A son of the late Jacqueline (O’Brien) Brooks and Paul Brooks.

He is survived by his sister, Christie Brooks, 4 children; Eric Brooks (Jessica), Jennifer Brown (Kevin), Andrew Brooks (Skye), Kristen Hart (Ben), and 7 grandchildren; Asher and Olivia Brooks, Lilyan and Chandler Brown, Braylon and Bradley Brooks, Kasen Hart, and 2 beloved dogs; Murray and Blue.

He retired from Carolina Pediatric Associates in Gaffney where he was the accountant for Dr. Carling.

Steve enjoyed motorcycles and raced motorcross in his younger years. He was a local pro in his early 20’s. He also loved long rides in the mountains, time with his dogs, pickles, and his Mama’s famous pimento cheese. He worked with his Dad at Napa Auto Parts for many years and had a love for Fords. You could find him on the weekends watching the USC Gamecocks and/or the Green Bay Packers and yelling at the T.V. He was proud to be a 2nd Dan black belt in Shorinji Kan Jiu Jitsu. He enjoyed this for more than 20 years and shared his love by being a Sensei to help train others at the Spartanburg Club. More than anything he loved spending time with his children and was always up for a good time. His fun filled, sporadic (often dangerous) adventures, and animated stories will greatly be missed by all. He knew and loved his Lord and Savior and let his children know exactly where he would spend his eternity, with his Lord Jesus Christ and his welcoming parents in Heaven.

The family will receive friends between 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Floyd’s Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Highway 9, Boiling Springs, SC. The funeral will follow the visitation.
