Sheila Renee' Burger, age 67, passed away on August 2, 2025, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, after a long illness she is now in the hands of the Lord. Born on November 24, 1957, in Spartanburg, she spent her life exemplifying unwavering faith, love, and dedication to those around her.
Sheila was a remarkable woman who gave selflessly and always put others first. Her genuine spirit of generosity was felt by everyone she encountered. She was known for her forgiving nature and her strength as a woman; a beacon of support and love to her family. As a mother and grandmother, Sheila nurtured her grandchildren with an enduring foundation of love and support, they were the light of her life. Her love for coloring was just one of the many ways she expressed her creativity.
A devoted member of Full Salvation Church of the Living God in Clifton, Sheila rarely missed a service until she became sick; she found strength in her faith. Her relationship with God was sincere, and her faith had the power to move mountains. This steadfast faith guided her through both life’s challenges and blessings.
Sheila's memory will live on in the hearts of her family, especially her husband of 42 years, Dean Burger, and her son, Alan Shane Price of Glendale. Her cherished grandchildren, Tiffaney Marrie Price Kirby (Joshua) and Alan Shane Price, Jr., along with her great-grandchildren, Emily Gracelynn Kirby, Jaxson Shane Kirby, and Delani Renee' Kirby, will carry forward the love and values she instilled in them. Sheila is also survived by her mother, Emily Jean Pritchard of Spartanburg, and her brother, Ricky Lynn Fortner of Clifton. She was preceded in death by her father, Wilson Fortner; her son, David Scott Price; her sister, Charlotte Jolly; and her stepfather, Lavone Pritchard.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM, Friday, August 8, 2025 followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Sheila will be buried in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Services will be conducted by The Rev. Ricky Pridmore.
