Scott Dean Hall, a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather “Pop” went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the age of sixty-one. Scott was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Dean O. Hall and the late Charla Diane Morgan Hall.

Scott was the owner and operator of Dean Hall Insulation. He prided himself in delivering quality work and building a legacy that would extend long past him.

He was an active member of Point of Life Church and loved his Lord and Savior. He never missed an opportunity to serve his church family and self-appointed himself the head of facilities. He faithfully ran the sound despite his lack of technology experience and would find anything to fix.

He adored his family and nothing made him happier than having them all together. He loved enjoying a cup of coffee on the porch followed by making chocolate chip pancakes for all his grandchildren. You could often find him cheering on the Atlanta Braves, grilling, admiring his well manicured lawn or spending time on Lake Greenwood. It was never too late for a boat ride or an ice cream sandwich.

Scott never met a stranger and had many friends and customers who became more like family over the decades of his life. His sense of humor could disarm anyone.

Left to keep his memories alive are his wife and love of his life, Tonya Hall; his daughter: Brittany Kennedy (Rob); his two sons: Austin Hall (Natalya) and Camden Hall; his grandchildren that he loved dearly: Harper Hall, Chipper Hall, Mary Kate Kennedy and Hughes Kennedy; his beloved sister: Joye Hall; his father and mother in law, Terry and Barbara Manus.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 15, 2026, between 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29307. The funeral service to honor the life of Scott Dean Hall will be held at 1:00 PM following the visitation. Dr. Terry Duvall, Pastor Kevin Hampton and Pastor Anthony Shetley will officiate the service. Scott will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens following the service.

Active pallbearers will be Randy Spencer, Daniel Shetley, Marco Lopez, Miguel Francisco, Whitner Kennedy and Josh Kilcoyne. Honorary pallbearer, Benny Waldrop

Scott firmly believed there was always more work to be done. His church and his family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for memorials, in lieu of flowers, we request donations to be made to the Point of Life Church Building Fund, 4620 Anderson Mill Rd, Moore, SC 29369.

Scott will continue to live in the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.
