Scott Dwane Crowe, a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on June 4, 2025, in Spartanburg, SC. Born in Spartanburg, SC on March 18, 1960, he was the son of the late Buford Gerald Crowe and Joyce Booker Ellenburg. Scott led a fulfilling life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a passion for learning and collecting.
Scott was a graduate of James F. Byrnes High School, Class of '78. After furthering his education, he dedicated 28 years of his career to Springs Industries, followed by several years with Adidas Distribution. He was not just a dedicated worker but also a man of rich interests. Scott's love for reading, historical research, and genealogy fueled his curiosity about the world and the stories that shaped it. He was a vintage collector with an eye for history, dedicated to preserving the past in ways both meaningful and personal. Whether he was camping under the stars or tending to his yard, his hands were never idle. Scott and Marcy were dedicated members of Milestones Church in Spartanburg.
Scott is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Marcy Crowe, they deeply cherished their years together. He is survived by his sister, Kim Golightly, and her husband, Robby Golightly, as well as their children, Scott's nieces: Brittney O’Sullivan (Justin), Chelsea Holleman (Drew), and LeAnne Traynham (Mitchell); his sister-in-law, Terri Hartsoe, and her husband, Jimmy Hartsoe, and their children, Emily Hartsoe and Jameson Hartsoe (Abbey). Scott's extended family includes several great-nieces and nephews who filled his life with joy and laughter.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, June 9, 2025, at The J.F. Floyd Mortuary, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306.
The funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM, Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at The J.F. Floyd Mortuary chapel, to honor his life. Burial will follow in Westwood Memorial Gardens in Moore, SC. Services will be conducted by The Rev. Hub Blankenship, Jr.
Scott Dwane Crowe’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His legacy of love, kindness, and curiosity will inspire all who had the privilege of sharing time with him.
