Sarah Elizabeth “Lib” Gossett Patrick, 80 of Pacolet, passed away on Tuesday evening, June 2, 2026, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Lib was born on August 4, 1945, in Spartanburg, SC, a daughter of the late William “Bill” and Ruby Fleming Gossett.
Lib was a member of Tate Memorial Baptist Church. An employee of S & S Manufacturing for over 37 years, Lib also worked full-time at Wal-Mart for 15 years. She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star with membership in the Dorcas Chapter in Pacolet and later in the Glendale Chapter.
Lib was an adventurous spirit, loving to travel all across our great country.
Surviving is her daughter, Karen T. Yon (Jerry) of Spartanburg, SC; a grandson, Scott Manis (Ladonna) of Spartanburg; a granddaughter, Stacy Manis of Pacolet; 2 great-grandchildren, Jayce and Alaina Manis; a brother, Billy Gossett (Judy) of Spartanburg; a sister, Louise Gossett of Pacolet; and a special friend, Rick Patrick of Spartanburg. Along with her parents, Lib was predeceased by her husband, David T. “Tom” Martin; and her life-long best friend, Kay Manus.
In keeping with Lib’s wishes, there will be private services for the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tate Memorial Baptist Church, 905 East Main Street, Pacolet, SC 29372.
