Sarah Evelyn Hunt

Sarah (Sasa) Evelyn Hunt, 70, of Spartanburg, South Carolina passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at her residence.

Sarah was a lifelong resident of Spartanburg, and the daughter of the late Robert Edwin Hunt, Sr and the late Helen Elizabeth Brown Hunt. She was also preceded in death by a brother: Robert “ED” Hunt, Jr; one sister-inlaw: Donna Hunt; also, a brother-in-law: Dennis O’Steen.

Sarah was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and earned her Registered Nurse Degree from the University of South Carolina. She retired from Spartanburg Medical Center after 26 years of dedicated employment. She enjoyed being with Sally and Mary her cats, watching the “Q” QVC, and traveling to Charleston. Sasa also loved being with her family and spoiling her nieces and nephew. She will truly be missed by her family and all that knew her.

Left to cherish Sarah’s memories are her sister: Beth O’Steen; a nephew:

Shane Hunt (Liz); two nieces: Shawn Swinney (Travis) and Dianna Phillips (Jason). Numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service to honor her life will be held at a later date at Powell Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society.
