Spartanburg, S.C. - Sara Anne Seay, lovingly known to her family and friends as Sara, peacefully passed away on February 12, 2024, at Summit Hills Assisted Living Facility. Born on March 6, 1942, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Walton A. and Mrs. Ruby Smoak.

Sara led an extraordinary life, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication. She dedicated over 30 years of her career as a Payroll Specialist, diligently ensuring that employees were taken care of and received their well-deserved compensation. Beyond her professional achievements, Sara was a compassionate woman with an unwavering love for her family. Her husband of 39 years, Kenneth Leland Seay Sr., was the light of her life and brought immense joy to their journey together.

Sara deeply cherished spending time with her loved ones. Her daughter Melody (Bill) Crews and son Kenneth "Kenny" L. Seay Jr., were the pride and joy of her life. She adored her beautiful granddaughters Michelle LeeAnne Crews, Megan Elizabeth Crews, and Christen Amber Teague. Also, Alecia (Jacob) Mashewske, Jonathan (Jennifer) Goodman, and Kelly Smoak, whom she loved as her own, along with five Great-Grandchildren. Her sister Susan Lynn (Sam) Goodman, which she embraced their bond with warmth and affection. She also shared a close relationship with her brother Walton Adonis Smoak.

Sara's vibrant personality shone through in all aspects of her life. She had a great love for shopping, always finding joy in discovering new treasures. Spending time with pets brought her immense happiness and comfort. Dining out and savoring delicious meals was one of Sara's favorite pastimes. She appreciated good food and cherished the moments shared around the table with loved ones. Sara had a unique passion for collecting dolls, which showcased her appreciation for beauty and artistry. Each doll in her collection held a special place in her heart. One of Sara's greatest gifts was her ability to tell enchanting stories. Whether recounting cherished memories or sharing tales of adventure, she captivated everyone who had the pleasure of listening.

The life of Sara Anne Seay will be celebrated during two services at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, located at 2075 E Main St, Spartanburg, SC 29307. The visitation service will take place on February 17, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM and ending at 2:45 PM. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held in honor of Sara's life at the same location. The funeral service will commence at 3:00 PM and conclude at 4:00 PM on February 17, 2024.
