Sandra Brown Rogers, 79, passed away peacefully at her home on February 4, 2026. She was born in Spartanburg, SC to late Joe Ervin Brown and Emma Louise Harvey Brown.
Sandra, known to all as Sandy, a devoted Baptist. She spent many years working as an office manager in the trucking industry. Sandy took pride in her work and in supporting those around her.
At home, Sandy found joy in the kitchen, especially when cooking for family and friends. Cooking was one of the many ways she showed love.
Sandy is survived by her children: Samantha Myott of Spartanburg, SC, Suzanne Rogers Burgess (Jimmy) of Salisbury, NC and Sammy Rogers II of Landrum, SC; four grandchildren: Shelley Burgess, Allie Nguyen, (Dang), Madeline Myott Brown (Monica) and Christopher Myott (Sandy); five great grandchildren: Poppy Nguyen, Mabel Myott, Molly Myott, Adler Nguyen and Arlor Nguyen; one sister, Becky Miller; numerous nieces and nephews. Sandy was predeceased by her loving husband, Samuel N. Rogers; her three brothers: Jim Brown, Ronnie Brown and Bob Brown; her three sisters: Betty Barnette, Joyce Bolin and Mary Brown; her great grandchild Sunny Alan Myott. Sandy will be remembered for her giving spirit, and the warmth she brought into the lives of others.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice team for their loving care, and especially to nurse Jessica McCarson, whose professionalism and compassion made an immeasurable difference in Sandy’s final days.
A graveside service to honor Sandy’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens,1300 Fernwood Glendale Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307 with Rev. Bruce Fine officiating the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Reginal Hospice Home,686 Jeff Davis Dr, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
