Ruth Cannon Sharek

Ruth Cannon Sharek, 98, reunited with her loved ones in heaven on February 2, 2024. Born in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Walter Cannon and Lula Carter Cannon James.

 Ruth was a member of Drayton Baptist Church where she served for many years in the nursery.

Survivors include her two sons, Richard (Janice) of Inman and Tim of Chesnee, four grandchildren, Jeff Miller, Stephen Miller, David Sharek, and Heather Sharek.   Ruth was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Eddie; daughters, Shirley Miller, and Nancy Sharek; granddaughter, Lisa Turner, and siblings, Russell, Paul, Lester, and Louis Cannon.

Ruth’s family will receive friends on Sunday, February 4, 2024, from 1:30 to 2:15 pm at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, followed by funeral services at 2:30 pm. A private burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens on Monday.
