Roy Paris, 83, of Spartanburg, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson, SC. Roy was born on August 30, 1942, in Tryon, NC, a son of the late Theodore and Lucille Turner Paris. He was formerly married to the late Judy Carolyn Melton Paris, who passed away in 2002.

Roy was a longtime employee of Hoechst-Celanese and he attended First North Baptist Church.

He was an avid sports enthusiast, staying active in physical fitness and playing golf. Roy’s greatest enjoyment came from loving his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

Roy is survived by his son Roy Kevin Paris, and his wife, Amy, of Simpsonville, SC; his grandchildren, Carson Paris, Bryson Paris and Kennedy Paris; a sister, Mattlee; and a brother, Ted. Along with his parents, Roy was predeceased by his siblings, David Paris and Bunnie Owens.

A graveside service to honor the life of Roy will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by Pastor Heath Carruth. Military Honors will be provided by the US Army Honors Team.
