Ronald "Ronnie" Lynn Garner

Ronald (Ronnie) Lynn Garner, 74, of Roebuck, died on Monday, October 7, 2024, at his home. A native of Spartanburg. He was born on September 6, 1950, a son of the late Charles E. and Violet McCullough Garner and stepson of the late Doris King Garner. 

He was a 1968 graduate of Dorman High School, Spartanburg Tech and retired after 44 years of service from Vic Bailey Ford as parts manager, a member of Roebuck Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, a member of Roebuck Improvement Association, loved riding his horses and the Carolina Gamecocks. 

Surviving is his wife, Brenda Petty Garner; son, Justin Lewis Garner (Erica); grandchildren, Jayden Fortenberry and Madison Fortenberry; sisters, Jan Hill (Freddy) and Dale King and his beloved Australian Shephard “Chase”. He was predeceased by two brothers, James E. Garner and Robert C. Garner. 

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 am, Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Roebuck Baptist Church, 1979 East Blackstock Road, Roebuck, SC 29376. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am in the sanctuary conducted by the Rev. Dr. Tim Williams and Rev. Chuck Miller. 

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
