Roger Dale Winstead

Roger Dale Winstead, 74, went to his heavenly home on Monday, December 25, 2023. A native of Pacolet Mills, he was born on June 3, 1949, son of the late Clay Winstead and Ruth O’Dell Winstead.

Roger loved his family, camping and traveling. He was always known for being a “phone call away” to lend a helping hand to others in need. He had a knack for fixing anything and enjoyed woodworking in his pastime.

He was the devoted husband of 53 years to Janet Anthony Winstead. In addition to his wife, Roger is survived by his daughters, Angela Powell (Jordan) and Jennifer Winstead; granddaughter, Cheyenne Faith Powell; brother, Gene Winstead, sisters, Dorothy Burns and Linda Davis.

He is preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, December 29, 2023, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29307, services to be conducted by the Rev. Daniel Kuhr and the Rev. Dr. Gary Grogan.
