Roger Lawson

Roger Carlton Lawson, 80, of Spartanburg, SC passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023 at Spartanburg Medical Center-Mary Black Campus. Born June 15, 1942, he was a son of the late James Edgar and Bessie Mae Petty Lawson.

Mr. Lawson was a Telephone Switchboard Repairman who retired from AT&T, USC-Upstate, and Southern Bell. He was a member of Legacy Church in Myrtle Beach, the Telephone Pioneers volunteer organization, and the Salvation Army.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Dianne Caldwell Lawson of the home; daughters, Michelle Lawson McAbee of Spartanburg, SC and Sherrie Lawson Brooker (Tommy) of Sarasota, FL; three grandchildren, Alyssa, Zackary, and Matthew; brothers, Michael Lawson of Flat Rock, NC and Lionel Lawson of Summerville, SC; and grand-dog, Lucky McAbee.
