Robin M. Holmes

Robin M. Holmes, a loving husband, adoring grandfather, and devoted friend, passed away on January 10, 2026, in the town of his birth, Spartanburg, South Carolina. He was born on December 20, 1953, and lived a life marked by kindness, hard work, and a deep love for his family.

A graduate of Clemson University with honors, his education laid a solid foundation for success, embodying determination and perseverance. For the last 15 years, Robin dedicated himself to American Credit Acceptance, where he cultivated strong, meaningful relationships with his coworkers.

Outside of his professional life and family commitments, Robin found joy in riding his motorcycle, roaring down winding roads of the world around him. His love for animals, particularly his cat, Jack Daniels, highlighted his gentle soul.

Robin was a devoted husband to Deanna M. Holmes, with whom he shared a beautiful journey over 17 years. He is also survived by his children, Matthew Holmes and Mary Beth Holmes; his stepchildren Brittney Brown (Charles) and Nicholas Little; and his grandchildren, Kylie Dame, Sawyer, and Willow Glenn; he took great pride in being their awesome grandfather.

Robin's life was not only defined by what he achieved, but by how he made others feel. Every memory shared, every laugh exchanged, and every moment experienced spoke volumes of a man who understood the true value of connection. He was a hard worker, yet he balanced this dedication with a generous disposition, always offering a helping hand never knowing a stranger. Robin embodied the essence of compassion and warmth and a kindness that resonated with every interaction.

A visitation will be held from 11:30 AM to 12:15 PM, Friday, January 16, 2026, at The J.F. Floyd Mortuary, 235 N. Church St., Spartanburg, SC, 29306.  

The funeral service will follow at 12:30 PM in the chapel. Robin will be laid to rest in Westwood Memorial Gardens, 6101 Reidville Rd, Moore, SC, 29369. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Keith Taylor.
