Robert "Bob" Elton Wrenn, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, went home to his Lord with his family by his side on July 14, 2025, in Boiling Springs, South Carolina. Bob was born on June 27, 1945, in Durham, NC and he was the son of the late William James Wrenn, Sr. and Jennie Lee Burroughs.
After attending Elon College from 1963 to 1966, he served as a Communications Intelligence Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1970.
Bob worked with Lowe's of Spartanburg and Boiling Springs, before retiring. He had a warm personality and great sense of humor. Known for his ability to connect with others, he never met a stranger and was always there to lend a hand or share a laugh. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved attending races every chance he had. Watching Clemson football was another highlight, as was spending time at Myrtle Beach and playing with his dog, Barker.
Bob was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 50 years, Vonda Jolly Blackwell Wrenn, and a proud father to his two sons, Sean Wrenn (Tasha Allen) of Boiling Springs and Derek Wrenn (Maranda) of N. Augusta, SC. Bob's heart, however, overflowed with an immeasurable love for his granddaughters, Ivey K. Wrenn and Sophie L. Wrenn. He cherished his sister, Martha Weiss, and was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Bob is also survived by Sarah Willard, who was like a mother to him. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Joseph, and William, along with his sister, Margaret.
