Richard "Rick" Green

Richard “Rick” James Green, 71, of Charleston, SC died Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Viviant Healthcare of Charleston. Born March 27, 1951, in IA, he was the son of the late James John and June Farrer Green.

Rick was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and was a friendly man who never met a stranger. He was very outgoing and outspoken. Rick enjoyed fishing and loved serving as a volunteer with the Croft Fire Department.

Survivors include his sibling; Bradley “Brad” Green (Donna) of Charleston, SC, Nancy Duncan (Bobby) of Rock Hill, SC, Terry Green of Charlotte, NC, Tammy Cox of Spartanburg, SC; as well as 5 nieces and 3 nephews.

A graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by Rev. David E. Nichols. Visitation will immediately follow at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethel Special Education Fund care of Bethel United Methodist Church, 245 S. Church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306.
