Richard Wood

Richard Aldon Wood, 85, of Spartanburg, SC passed away on August 3, 2022.

Born May 20, 1937, in Chesnee, SC, he was the son of the late Aldon Matthew Wood and Evelyn Eubanks Wood Ezell. He was retired from Duke Power.

He is survived by his wife, Rita; daughters Statia Jane White and Jamie Peterson (Daniel), grandchildren, Kermit Ray White III (Morgan) and Hannah Grace Peterson; great grandson, James Aldon White; sister, Sylvia Heironimus; and sister-in-law, Gail Johnson.

A private graveside service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Morningside Baptist Church, 897 S. Pine St., Spartanburg, SC 29302 and Mobile Meals, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304.

The family will be at their respective homes.
