Richard West

Richard Anthony "Andy" West, 52, of Spartanburg, died Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born August 14, 1956, in Danville, VA, he was the son of Donovan S. and Mary Nowlin West of Spartanburg. A graduate of Grimsley High School in Greensboro, NC, he was employed at Woodfin Ridge Golf Course and a member of Cannons Campground United Methodist Church. Also surviving is his wife, Drucilla "Dru" Marlowe West; a daughter, Ande Joan West of the home; a brother, Donovan S. West of Greensboro, NC; and a sister, Janine W. Fleming of Spartanburg. Visitation will be 2:30-3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2009, at Cannons Campground United Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Church conducted by the Rev. Doug Gilliland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ande Joan West Educational Fund, c/o First Citizens Bank, 1894 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
