Rayna Kathryn Biggs, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother entered eternal rest on Friday, August 28, 2026, in the comfort of her home while surrounded by her loving family. She was 74 years of age at the time of her passing.

Rayna was a life-long resident of Spartanburg. She was the daughter of the late Ray Houston Thompson and the late Geraldine Kathryn Walden Thompson. She was also preceded in death by two brothers-in-law: Kent Deal and Kenneth Biggs; a stepson: Jeff Biggs; a stepdaughter: Tammy Hooper. Her paternal and maternal grandparents also preceded her in death.

Rayna was of the Pentecostal faith and a lady with a caring heart. She was a graduate of Dorman High School and later earned her associate’s degree in word processing from Rutledge College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She worked for Mayfair Mills and The Bailey Plant. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching NCIS, Law and Order, and Criminal Minds on television. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her family and sitting on her front porch. She will be greatly missed by everyone that had the pleasure of meeting her.

Left to cherish her many memories are her husband of 46 years: Glenn Biggs; her children: Larena Jackson (Bart) and Brian Biggs (Paige); grandchildren: Justin Mills (Jessica), Angelica Bowlds (Nick), and Haley Petty; her great granddaughter: Kennedy Kathryn Mills; her brother: Dennis Thompson (Shelia); sister-in-law: Faye Deal. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends between 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A funeral service to honor the life of Rayna Kathryn Biggs’ will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel. Bart Jackson and Dennis Thompson will be the celebrants for the service. She will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens following the service.

Active Pallbearers will be Justin Mills, Brian Biggs, Nick Bowlds, Chad Thompson. Aaron Johnson, and Darwin Sizemore.

Rayna will continue to live in the hearts of her family and friends.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for memorials, in lieu of flowers, made to Mobile Meals of Spartanburg or the Alzheimer’s Association.
