Peggy Elizabeth Padgett, age 97, was welcomed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on August 20, 2025. Affectionately known by friends and family as "Sissy" and by her grandchildren as "Nannie". Peggy was born November 5, 1927 in Pacolet Mills to Willie Vernon and Bertha Parker Fleming and was a lifelong resident of Pacolet Mills. She was married to the late Woodrow Padgett for 52 years. Despite being widowed, she remained faithful to their union until being reunited in their Heavenly Home. Peggy was a millworker and homemaker. Ater retirement she spent her days continuing to be dedicated to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a passion for cooking and baking and looked forward to feeding her family on Sundays. She was also an avid Hamrick's shopper. Most importantly, Peggy was a child of Christ. She lived her life rooted in the words of her Savior and always reflected his love and kindness to everyone she met. Peggy was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church in Pacolet Mills.
