Paul H. Ridings

Paul H. Ridings, age 91, passed away June 13, 2024, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Born on September 11, 1932, in Polk County, North Carolina, Paul led a remarkable life filled with love, kindness, and a passion for giving.

Paul's favorite pastime was indulging in breakfast at Strawberry Hill and tending to his garden even at the age of 91. He found joy in fixing up and reselling tractors and was known for his generosity towards others throughout his lifetime.

Paul is survived by his son, Tommy Ridings; daughter, Joyce Steadings (Dale); two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters Hazel Fells (Albert) and Jeanette Bryan (Rodrick); as well as special friends Eddie & Teresa Brown.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Hazel Bridgeman Ridings; son, Terry Ridings; and siblings, Ruth Harmon, Agnes Skipper, Kathrine Ford, Dorothy Barro, Loyd Ridings, Horace Ridings, W.J. "Dub" Ridings, and Hoyle Ridings.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 - 11:45 AM, Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N., Boiling Springs, SC 29316.

Funeral service to honor Paul's life will be held 12:00 PM, Wednesday June 19, 2024, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel with burial following in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, 4164 SC-9, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. The Rev. Brad Adkins will be officiating.

He leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
